Lino Security Partners TTAM to Grow Table Tennis

Lino Security Service Forms Partnership with Northern Table Tennis Body.

A new partnership between Lino Security Service and the Northern Region Table Tennis Association aims to strengthen the sport across Malawi's northern region.

At TTAM's recent election meeting in Mzuzu, Lino Security CEO Maxwell Mnjemu highlighted the need for clear planning and results. He asked TTAM to present its strategic roadmap to guide the partnership's support efforts.

"We seek tangible impact beyond funding, especially in rural communities where resources remain scarce," Mnjemu said. "This collaboration must deliver measurable national results."

The CEO emphasized strict oversight of sponsorship funds through organized programs to advance table tennis development. Table Tennis Association of Malawi Vice President Thom Mhango welcomed the partnership, noting its importance for developing young talent before the upcoming Zone V tournament in Windhoek, Namibia.

"This backing helps us prepare players for international competition," Mhango said. "It opens doors for northern athletes to reach world-class levels."

The newly elected TTAM Chairperson, Kondwani Thindwa, promised effective resource use. "We pledge to expand the sport beyond urban areas and honor this partnership through careful management," he said.

The election meeting established new leadership with Kondwani Thindwa as Chairperson, Draxon Maloya as Vice Chairperson, Loveness Chimaliro as Secretary, Chuma Thindwa as Vice Secretary, and Thokozani Chisale as Treasurer. Moreen Nkhoma, Mphatso Longwe, Malumbo Njikho, Warona Gondwe, and Christopher Mtemera joined as committee members.

This corporate sponsorship marks a significant step forward for table tennis development in Malawi's northern region.
