Bangladesh U17 captain vows to beat Nepal first up

Captain Nazmul Huda Faysal expressed strong confidence during Sunday's pre-tournament press conference in Sri Lanka. The Bangladesh Under-17 national football team leader discussed his squad's readiness for the SAFF U-17 Championship 2025. Head coach Golam Rabbani joined Faysal in demonstrating their commitment to achieving success throughout the competition. Both officials acknowledged respect for all participating teams while maintaining focus on their tournament objectives. The team leadership emphasized their preparation across multiple developmental areas.

Faysal identified Nepal as their opening opponent and recognized the strength of that particular squad. The captain stated his team would compete vigorously against Nepal despite acknowledging their capabilities. Coach Rabbani highlighted the overall improvement occurring across South Asian football programs. He confirmed his players had achieved proper technical, tactical, physical, and mental readiness for competition. The team scheduled matches against Nepal on September 18 and Sri Lanka on September 21 at Colombo's Racecourse Ground.
