Barra Car Park access eases as council fixes entry potholes

The President of the Barra Transport Union has praised the Kerewan Area Council for addressing the potholes at the entrance to the Barra Car Park. The work, coordinated by Chief Alpha Mariam Khan and Essau Ward Councilor Michelle Mendy, has improved vehicle and passenger movement in the area. Union President Njie Manka described the intervention as timely, citing challenges caused by heavy rains and urging further support for access roads leading to Amdalaye Car Park at the border.

Manka appealed to President Adama Barrow, the Ministry of Works, and the National Roads Authority to construct a standard access road and car park for Barra. Secretary General Hassan Busso and Chef de Garage Adama Cham also thanked the council and encouraged ongoing collaboration to upgrade the facility. Councilor Mendy reaffirmed the council’s commitment to reinvesting in development projects and maintaining safety for all users. She thanked Chairman Papa Tunkara and CEO Sainabou Martin Mendy for their support of the repairs and pledged continued cooperation to support further improvements.
