Barzani opens door for Indonesian business invasion of Erbil

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with Indonesia's newly appointed ambassador to Iraq, Didik Eko Pujianto, on Sunday to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Barzani congratulated Pujianto on his appointment and pledged the Kurdistan Regional Government's full support for initiatives aimed at building stronger ties between Erbil and Jakarta. The ambassador praised the region's stability and economic progress while confirming Indonesia's interest in expanding trade relations and investment opportunities.

Both officials addressed the welfare of Indonesian citizens living and working in the Kurdistan Region. Barzani assured that his government remains committed to supporting foreign missions and creating favorable conditions for international businesses. The meeting reflects Erbil's broader strategy to attract global partnerships and position itself as a secure investment destination in the Middle East.
