Bashundhara crew dunks kids to beat flood curse

Bashundhara Shuvosangho conducted water safety instruction for local youth Saturday through its upazila division. Forty participants received lessons covering safe water entry, floating techniques and fundamental swimming skills. The program addresses recurring drowning fatalities among children during seasonal flooding, which claimed one young life this year.

Officials emphasized the training's life-saving potential for vulnerable communities. Vice-president Saima expressed the organization's commitment to preventing future drowning deaths through education. President Tokir Ahmed Tanjil described the sessions as essential survival instruction rather than recreational activity. Advisor Sadarul Amin Jabir highlighted the program's role in building participant confidence during flood emergencies.

The session concluded with organizers providing dry food supplies to attendees. Participants demonstrated enthusiasm for the new skills while families expressed gratitude for the safety initiative.
