Battlefield 6 anticheat drowns under thousands of Steam cheaters

The open beta for Battlefield 6 welcomes all players this weekend. Steam data shows concurrent user numbers have exceeded 470,000 players. The platform may witness 500,000 simultaneous users before the testing period ends. Players who participate will receive two character skins, weapon packages, stickers, and background rewards. Additional content awaits participants during the August 14-17 testing window.

Developers implemented kernel-level anti-cheat technology requiring SecureBoot activation on personal computers. The SPEAR Anti-Cheat Team documented significant cheating attempts despite these measures. Their systems blocked 330,000 tampering efforts since early access began. Player reports identified 44,000 suspected cheaters on the first day and 60,000 more the following day. The security team emphasized that SecureBoot serves as one barrier among many rather than a complete solution. Battlefield 6 releases on October 10 with continued anti-cheat enforcement.
