Bayern crush Leverkusen, extend perfect start

Bayern Munich extended their flawless Bundesliga campaign by defeating Bayer Leverkusen to open up a five-point advantage at the summit. Vincent Kompany's side recorded their ninth straight league triumph and 15th consecutive victory across all competitions, maintaining their unstoppable form this season.

Serge Gnabry celebrated his 250th Bundesliga match by breaking the deadlock in the 25th minute with a clinical finish beyond goalkeeper Mark Flekken. Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson added his maiden league strike for Bayern six minutes afterward. Loic Bade's unfortunate own goal sealed Leverkusen's fate, ending their remarkable sequence of 37 consecutive Bundesliga away matches without defeat.

Jackson saw another effort ruled out for offside and sent a header wide during an impressive display as Harry Kane rested. England's captain entered as a substitute alongside Michael Olise and Luis Diaz in the 59th minute. Bayern stretched their lead over second-place RB Leipzig to five points while Leverkusen sits fifth. Both clubs shift focus to Champions League action, with Bayern visiting Paris St-Germain on Tuesday and Leverkusen traveling to Benfica on Wednesday.
