The Beeta Arts Festival is coming back to Abuja for round five, and founder Bikiya Graham-Douglas says the Connected Voices theme will spotlight theatre, film, music, dance, and visual art at the Continental Hotel. Stage performances will feature Ivie Okujaiye and Habiba Zock-Sock alongside other storytellers, while producer Ola Rotimi Fakunle handles the theatre segment again.
Film curator Priye Diri lined up work from creators across Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Tunisia, Morocco, and Côte d'Ivoire, and audiences can vote for their favorite pieces through new Audience Choice Awards. Rapper Muna Abi will perform, and panel discussions will cover industry trends with guests like Dimbo Atiya and Biodun Stephen.
The festival market will showcase fashion and crafts through collaboration with UNDP, and a pitch session called The Bridge Room will connect creative businesses with investors from Chapel Hill Denham. Partners backing the event range from Leadway Assurance to Nigerian Breweries.
