Benue Cops Get Fresh PR Chief to Shake Things Up

Benue State Police Command welcomed Deputy Superintendent Udeme Edet as their latest Public Relations Officer after recent personnel changes. Inspector-General Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun approved the administrative transfers that brought Edet to her new position. She takes charge of media communications and community outreach efforts across the state. Edet earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Nigeria Police Academy located at Wudil, Kano State. Her academic focus covered History and International Relations during her university studies.

Cross River State provided Edet with valuable field experience before this appointment. She worked as Divisional Crime Officer at Ikpai Omni Division based around Calabar area. The role gave her hands-on knowledge about criminal investigations and police operations. Edet handled various cases and built relationships with local communities during her time there. Her background prepared her well for managing public communications and media relations.

Police officials asked citizens and journalists to support Edet as she begins her duties. The command wants stronger partnerships between law enforcement and community members throughout Benue. Edet plans to improve public safety communication and build trust with residents. Media cooperation will help spread important safety messages across different neighborhoods. Her work aims to enhance police-community relationships and keep people informed about security matters.
