Berlin's NEO BERLIN 2087 hires Adam Jensen, still has no date

Elysium Game Studio showcased its inaugural project through a new trailer during Gamescom festivities. The Berlin-based developer presents NEO BERLIN 2087 as an action role-playing experience that combines first and third-person perspectives. Players control detective Nolan, performed by voice actor Elias Toufexis from the Deus Ex series, who investigates a police chief's assassination while protecting the victim's daughter, Natalie. The narrative unfolds as Nolan discovers a conspiracy that threatens the entire metropolis. Their relationship develops through danger as both characters confront mysterious forces.

The gameplay allows players to modify Nolan's skills and equipment according to personal preferences. Combat options range from direct confrontation to stealth tactics within RPG frameworks. Developers drew inspiration from classic cyberpunk cinema such as Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell for the dystopian setting. The year 2087 finds Berlin transformed into a walled cyberpunk city surrounded by wasteland populated with outcasts and malfunctioning machines. Unreal Engine powers the visual presentation across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series platforms without a confirmed launch timeframe.
