Bihar Cricket hands keys to Gen Z as Harsh Vardhan wins

Harsh Vardhan became Bihar Cricket Association president Sunday after winning an uncontested election at age 24. The victory makes him the youngest person to lead the state cricket body. Priya Kumari secured the vice president position while Ziaul Arefin earned the secretary role. Abhishek Nandan and Rohit Kumar claimed treasurer and joint secretary posts respectively.

M. Modassir, a retired civil servant, oversaw the electoral process that saw all candidates run without opposition. The association pledged to focus on developing young talent and improving cricket facilities across Bihar. Selection trials for senior and under-23 teams begin Tuesday at Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in Patna. Players must arrive Monday at 4 p.m. for the camp preparation.
