Bihar's jobless youths given cash to hire each other

Bihar's Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme has helped unemployed residents launch businesses and create jobs in the Bagaha district. The program provides up to 1 million rupees to male applicants from general and backward categories to establish commercial ventures.

Santosh Kumar Oraon operates a shop that employs two additional workers after receiving government assistance. Sujit Kumar Oraon runs a computer services center that serves his entire panchayat and helps rural residents access information technology solutions and government programs.

Arvind Kumar Oraon said his business supports ten employees through the scheme. The state government launched the initiative to promote self-employment and economic development across Bihar communities.

Multiple beneficiaries reported that the financial support transformed their prospects after struggling to find traditional employment following graduation.
