Black Satellites draw Nigeria and Benin in tricky WAFU U20 group

Ghana's young football team faces major challenges ahead. The Black Satellites will compete against tough opponents during their next tournament. Assistant coach Fatawu Salifu shared his thoughts about the upcoming matches. The team learned about their group placement recently. Nigeria and Benin will join them during the competition.

The WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations starts July 10th and runs until July 23rd next year. Group A contains three strong teams that know each other well. Salifu believes Ghana and Nigeria always create fierce battles when they meet. The coach expects very competitive games between all three countries. His team must defeat both opponents to move forward.

The former Heart of Lions coach understands what lies ahead for his players. He thinks their group represents typical WAFU competition levels. Ghana needs victories against Nigeria and Benin to advance further. The assistant coach feels confident about his team's chances. Every match will test their skills and determination.

Recent disappointment motivates the Black Satellites to perform better. They failed to qualify for the U-20 World Cup after their campaign ended badly. The team returned from Egypt wanting to prove themselves again. Players have been training hard to prepare for redemption. Their coach believes this tournament offers a perfect chance to rebuild their reputation.

Salifu wants his squad to focus on upcoming challenges rather than past failures. The coaching staff prepared detailed plans for each opponent. Ghana's youth team hopes to surprise everyone with improved performances. Strong preparation should help them compete against regional rivals. Success depends on executing their game plans perfectly.
