Blood Message Announced as Cinematic Action-Adventure Game from 24 Entertainment

NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment announced their new single-player adventure game called Blood Message. The same team that created the popular battle royale game NARAKA BLADEPOINT developed this story-focused title. NetEase executive Zhipeng Hu said the company wants to create their first major single-player experience after twenty years making games. The developers promise players will experience epic and cinematic gameplay.

Blood Message takes place during the final years of China's Tang dynasty. Players control a simple messenger who joined an uprising against the empire. The character must travel one thousand dangerous miles from Dunhuang back to Chang'an, the capital city. Harsh deserts and wild landscapes across East and Central Asia block the path forward.

The game focuses on ordinary people rather than famous rulers or military leaders. A father and son fight for their beliefs during a rebellion against the crumbling empire. They struggle between serving their country and protecting their family. Players will use stealth and survival skills during realistic combat situations.

24 Entertainment built Blood Message using Unreal Engine 5 and their custom technology. The linear story explores themes like family bonds, honor, sacrifice, and cultural heritage. Players will cross vast terrains inspired by real locations across Asia. The game will launch on PC and consoles but developers have not announced a release date.
