Blueface was released from prison after serving one year of his sentence

Rapper Johnathan Porter, known professionally as Blueface, gained freedom from California State Prison in early November 2025 after completing just over one year of a four-year sentence. The Los Angeles performer violated probation terms connected to a 2021 assault incident when authorities discovered drug equipment during an August 2024 investigation.

Upon release, the 28-year-old shared video footage documenting his exit from custody and subsequent homecoming. Social media followers observed significant physical changes, noting his increased body size developed during incarceration. Blueface has not addressed his musical future or upcoming projects publicly since regaining liberty.

Porter achieved mainstream recognition in 2018 with his platinum-certified single Thotiana, which later featured collaborative versions with artists Cardi B and YG. His distinctive off-rhythm delivery helped establish his career before legal complications interrupted his trajectory. Supporters across digital platforms expressed enthusiasm about his return to civilian life following his November release.
