Mike Mpinga faces new fraud charges after police discovered his car theft scheme. The same man whose dogs killed a neighbor allegedly stole vehicles worth 26,000 dollars from a Harare resident. Mpinga approached the victim in August 2024 asking to rent a car for business purposes. He later returned with plans for a joint car rental company partnership. The suspect convinced the car owner to provide more vehicles and customs papers.
Mpinga promised to register the business properly through government offices. He secretly put all the vehicles under his name instead of creating the rental company.
