Bomber and his pals die in messy Quetta raid

A suicide bomber struck near Frontier Corps headquarters on Zarghun Road in Quetta on Tuesday, killing 10 people and wounding more than 20 others. Security forces eliminated six attackers during the assault, which began when the bomber detonated explosives before gunmen opened fire on the military installation. The blast shattered windows across the area and damaged parked vehicles while thick smoke rose above the scene.

Civil Hospital Quetta confirmed it received 10 bodies and treated over 20 wounded patients, with several remaining in critical condition. Two Frontier Corps personnel sustained injuries while stopping the attack. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti condemned the violence and pledged to restore security across the province. The assault follows recent attacks on railway infrastructure, with the Jaffar Express targeted twice in late September.
