Bono East chairman says NPP reforms aim to reclaim power in 2028

Ibrahim Baba Bukari addressed party members at the New Patriotic Party conference held at University of Ghana Sports Stadium on July 19, 2025. The Bono East Regional Chairman, nicknamed Game Changer, outlined comprehensive reform plans for the organization. He emphasized that recent difficulties would motivate members to unite ahead of the 2028 general elections. Party leadership commits to rebuilding supporter confidence through structural improvements. These changes will position the NPP for electoral success.

Bukari detailed reform priorities targeting polling station operations and member discipline. The party seeks competent individuals for leadership positions who can restore public trust. He urged delegates to support leadership during the reconstruction period while abandoning personal political aspirations. Internal conflicts threaten party prospects without immediate resolution. Unity remains essential for achieving electoral victory and continuing development programs for Ghana.
