British Esports promotes three staff to Vice President roles

The British Arena buildout handed three insiders a level-up. Alice Whorley, previously operations chief, became VP of Operations and gained control across British Esports Federation sites. Kalam Neale left the education lead post for VP of Education, Skills and Innovation, adding coaching and support services.

Meanwhile, Zuhrah Samim moved beyond Group Human Resources Manager into VP of People & Culture, covering staff growth, workplace culture, and wellbeing. Whorley entered through volunteering on the Student Champs pilot, joined full-time afterward, reached leadership, and helped create Women in Esports.

Neale began part-time, later switched to full-time, and expanded programs with Pearson, the Leadership Skills Foundation, and UK Coaching. Samim arrived a year ago and rebuilt HR processes.

Elsewhere, demand has climbed for the National Esports Performance Campus, Sunderland gaming houses, and The Place. School installations, Great Britain’s Esports Nations Cup involvement, and arena recruitment across hospitality, operations, front desk, and marketing show the growth push.

Earlier moves installed Alice Dearing as Co-Vice Chair, Stephen Gallagher as Commercial Vice President, and Joel Lavery over Strategic Partnerships and Major Events.
