Bruce Springsteen Nebraska Biopic Trailer Hits Hard

Hollywood released the first preview for Deliver Me From Nowhere starring Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen. The movie tells how the singer made his famous 1982 album Nebraska inside his bedroom. Springsteen recorded the entire album using a simple 4-track cassette machine called the Teac 144 PortaStudio. The trailer shows White telling his sound engineer that perfection does not matter for the recording. He wanted the music to sound like he was alone making songs.

Jeremy Strong plays Springsteen's manager Jon Landau and other actors fill important roles around the rock star. The film adapts Warren Zanes book about the album creation process. Movie studios plan to release the biopic on October 24 for audiences nationwide. Producers hope their film succeeds like the Bob Dylan movie A Complete Unknown from last year. That Dylan biopic earned Oscar nominations for several actors and its director James Mangold.
