BTS fans excited as group reunites after long military break

BTS fans around the world celebrated as the Korean boy band prepares for their comeback after military service. Stephanie Prado moved from Brazil to South Korea because she loves the group and attended their annual BTS Festa party near Seoul. Four band members finished their required 18 months of military duty last week. The final member Suga completed his service on Saturday. Thousands of international fans gathered at the event despite no confirmed group reunion plans.

The music industry changed dramatically during BTS's absence since 2022. New generations of K-pop groups debuted and gained popularity among younger fans. Album sales dropped across the industry after reaching peak numbers during 2023. Several scandals and controversies also shook the K-pop world during this period. Music critics believe the absence of such a major group created problems for the entire industry.

Fans traveled from countries like South Africa and the Netherlands just to visit BTS-related locations around Seoul. Many cried when listening to recorded messages from band members at the festival. The emotional response showed how much supporters missed the group during their break. Military service often damages celebrities' careers when they return. However experts think BTS has the best chance to overcome this challenge.

The group's leader RM promised to make new music quickly after his discharge. A full album might not arrive until early next year because members have solo concerts planned. The return of BTS could bring fresh energy back to Korean pop music and help the industry recover from recent struggles.
