Buddy Guy announces new album Ain't Done With The Blues for his 89th birthday

Blues guitar master Buddy Guy appeared in the movie Sinners this year at age 88. The film showed vampires attacking a speakeasy during Jim Crow times. Director Ryan Coogler made this action horror picture that became a major hit. Guy played a small but important part in the blockbuster.

The legendary musician plans to release a new album called Ain't Done With The Blues on his 89th birthday this summer. He wants to honor the blues masters who taught him everything about music. Guy promised musicians like Muddy Waters and B.B. King that he would keep blues music alive after they died. He admits he cannot jump around on stage like he did decades ago but still gives fans everything he has.

The album follows his 2022 record called The Blues Don't Lie. Famous guests appear on the new songs such as Peter Frampton and Joe Bonamassa. The Blind Boys Of Alabama also contribute to the project. Joe Walsh sings with Guy on the first single How Blues Is That.

Guy will tour across America through August to promote his latest work. He performs at casinos and theaters from Connecticut to California. The 88-year-old guitarist refuses to retire despite his advanced age. Silvertone and RCA Records will release Ain't Done With The Blues on July 30th for blues fans everywhere.
