Bulawayo's Sibanda smacks Scottland, Bosso in Chibuku semis

Highlanders goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda demonstrated exceptional penalty-saving skills during Sunday's Chibuku Super Cup quarter-final against Scottland FC at Barbourfields Stadium. The veteran keeper stopped three spot kicks as his team advanced through a 2-1 penalty shootout victory. Scottland had dominated the match early with strikes from Kingsley Mureremba and Khama Billiat before Highlanders responded through Learnmore Muyambo and Andrew Mbeba to force extra time.

Sibanda employed a strategic approach that emphasized remaining stationary rather than diving instinctively. The goalkeeper studied penalty takers' body language and eye movements to anticipate shot direction. Several Scottland players failed during the shootout as Sibanda's technique proved effective against their attempts. The Highlanders captain secured his team's semi-final qualification through disciplined positioning and careful observation of opposing players' pre-shot behavior.
