Candy Factory Craze Fuels 100 New Jobs in St Petersburg

A candy company will build a factory that makes sweet treats near St. Petersburg. The plant will create 100 new jobs for people living around the Leningrad Region. Workers will make marmalade and wafers at the new location starting around 2028.

JSC Confectionary Association Lyubimy Kray plans to spend 1.3 billion rubles on construction costs. The cookie maker expects to earn back their money within five to seven years after opening. Company leaders chose the Gorelovo industrial area for their newest production site.

The factory will cover almost 10,000 square meters of land space. Employees will produce children's cookies alongside marmalade and wafer products. The Lomonosov district location gives the company access to regional transportation networks.
