CAPS United bags Eswatini bank cash, Rufaro date vs Dynamos

CAPS United announces a major sponsorship agreement with an Eswatini bank establishing operations in Zimbabwe. The Green Machine will receive financial support and two advanced buses as part of the three-year contract beginning in 2026. Club officials scheduled the announcement for Friday, two days before their Harare Derby match against Dynamos at Rufaro Stadium.

The team currently holds 13th position with 32 points and faces six remaining matches this season. CAPS United organized a training camp in Manicaland to maintain team cohesion during league breaks and international competitions. CEO Morton Dodzo clarified that officials planned the Eastern Highlands retreat months earlier rather than specifically preparing for the derby encounter.

The club proposed raising ticket prices to five dollars for the upcoming match against Dynamos. CAPS United seeks to avoid relegation while their opponents fight to escape the bottom positions. Coach Ian Bakala's squad must improve consistency during the final stretch of matches.
