CarbonDSP introduced four audio plugins

Dropping cash on four separate plugins feels wild when a new developer ships transparent compressors and tube preamps in one massive launch. CarbonDSP just unleashed Vellum, Biased, Black Ion 76, and Carbon CL 610 to bring analog modeling to Windows users without macOS support yet.

Vellum handles vocal spaces through sidechain ducking that pulls wet signals down during phrases while leaving tails completely untouched for consistent ambience. This zero-latency reverb offers four distinct networks spanning 0.6 to 5.6 seconds with measured impulse displays showing real-time energy decay curves.

Biased models tube circuits at component level with dynamic grid bias points that shift based on input signal strength rather than fixed transfer curves. Audio nerds get independent transformer saturation and capacitor ageing controls alongside live visualizers tracking waveform lanes from input to output.

Black Ion 76 recreates FET limiting amplifiers using true feedback topology instead of feed-forward approximations for authentic ratio behavior. The unit adds modern parallel mixing and continuous nuke mode blending that original hardware never featured alongside sixteen times oversampling options.

Carbon CL 610 runs dual detectors on a single threshold so transients never escape sub-microsecond peak control regardless of ratio adjustments. Thirty-two level-matched presets calibrate this musical compressor by measurement, while built-in parallel blend controls sit downstream of the output amplifier.
