Carlos Sainz celebrates pathetic 10th place in Singapore

Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz advanced from 18th on the grid to finish 10th at the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday, securing championship points through strategic tire management. The Spanish driver completed 52 laps on medium compounds before switching to soft tires, enabling him to pass five competitors in the final stage of the race.

Sainz described the race as unexpected after Ferrari anticipated safety car interventions or rain that never materialized. The driver maintained his position against pressure from Oliver Bearman and Fernando Alonso before executing overtaking maneuvers in a race where passing opportunities remained limited.

The result followed a disqualification that forced Sainz to start from the back of the grid. Ferrari limited losses against Aston Martin and Red Bull in the constructors' standings, and Sainz emphasized the importance of every point as the season approaches its conclusion.
