Castel Donation Helps Lilongwe Police Do Their Job Better

EMC Suppliers Limited and Green Pines Limited just gave Kanengo and Lingadzi Police Stations two computers and security lights worth K3.5 million. The Castel Malawi distributor made this donation Thursday to help law enforcement in Lilongwe work better. Their manager, Atusaye Mwasokwa, believes helping police keeps business running smoothly. He said peace in the streets allows them to operate without problems.

The donation was split between both stations—one computer went to Kanengo and another to Area 18 police. Mwasokwa explained that their company handles distribution across several areas, including Area 49, Area 18, and Kanengo. Senior Superintendent Mackenzie Chigumula from Kanengo Police Station thanked the company for their help. He mentioned that these computers arrived at the perfect time.

The new equipment will make daily police work much easier, according to Chigumula. Officers can handle communications better, keep records more efficiently, and report different cases faster than before. The security lights will make both stations safer at night. This kind of business support helps police protect the community more effectively.

The generous act from the beverage distributor shows how local businesses can partner with public services. When companies invest in police resources, everyone benefits from improved safety. The computers help track crime data, and the lighting prevents problems on station grounds. This partnership between private businesses and law enforcement creates better security throughout Lilongwe.
