Charlene Ruto visits Raila's grave in a shocking display

Charlene Ruto, daughter of President William Ruto, paid her respects on Tuesday at the burial site of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in Bondo, Siaya County. She then traveled to the Odinga family residence at Opoda Farm to offer condolences to Ida Odinga, the widow of the late leader.

Political figures from various parties have continued visiting the Bondo home to express sympathy. President Ruto attended the burial service on October 19, 2025, where he called Odinga a dedicated statesman who championed democracy and national unity. Former President Uhuru Kenyatta, Azimio la Umoja officials, and numerous governors, senators, and lawmakers have also made the journey.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula led additional groups to the homestead. Diplomats, religious figures, and ordinary citizens have maintained a steady presence at the residence. Ida Odinga has expressed gratitude for the widespread support the family has received from Kenyans.
