Charli XCX drops new Brat Chuck Taylors with Converse

Charli XCX teamed up with Converse to create special sneakers based on her Brat album. The pop star works as a brand ambassador for the shoe company and showed off the new design at a London festival. Fans who attended the event received pairs of the limited shoes and had them signed by the singer.

Someone immediately tried selling an unreleased pair online for seven hundred fifty dollars. Pictures of the Party Girl sneakers started spreading across social media after that listing appeared. The shoes feature black coloring with worn-looking marks on the sides that were added during manufacturing.

One side of each shoe has a patch referencing her hit song called 365. The bottom of the right shoe says PARTY and the left shoe says GIRL when you look at the soles. Each pair comes with a small key and lock that relate to lyrics from her music about meeting people and locking doors.

This partnership makes sense since Brat became hugely popular more than a year ago. Other bands have worked with Converse on similar projects recently. Turnstile created their version of Chuck 70 shoes that connected to their 2021 album Glow On.

The collaboration shows how music artists continue working with fashion brands long after their albums come out. Charli XCX has built a strong relationship with Converse through her ambassador role over the past twelve months.
