Chipezeze bags sixth straight match award

Zimbabwean goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze earned his sixth straight Carling Knockout Man of the Match award despite Magesi FC falling 2-1 to Orlando Pirates in Tuesday's quarter-final match. The 35-year-old keeper made six saves by the 33rd minute while maintaining 88 percent ball distribution accuracy. His consecutive honors have generated 600,000 rand in prize money through fan voting.

Chipezeze credited supporters for their presence at the stadium and said the team exists to serve them. He noted the Pirates rebounded from a Champions League setback and praised his teammates for following the game plan. The veteran shot-stopper asked fans to shift attention toward league competition after the cup exit ended their tournament run.
