VP Chiwenga showed up at the wedding of Sibusiso Brendon Moyo and Tawana Mercy Gawaza in Harare and dropped some marriage advice about keeping faith at the center when things get rough. The groom is the son of the late Foreign Affairs Minister Sibusiso Moyo, who Chiwenga said was basically like a brother to him beyond their military careers.
The VP told the newlyweds to lean on each other during weak moments and remember that daily kindness and commitment build solid relationships. He quoted some Bible verses about doing everything through Christ and said forgiveness needs to flow freely between partners. Chiwenga mentioned that losing SB Moyo and Perrance Shiri was one of the worst periods of his life, and he was there as a father figure for the couple.
