Former Zanu PF legislator Temba Mliswa accused Vice President Constantino Chiwenga on Monday of masking a personal vendetta as an anti-corruption campaign against businessman Wicknell Chivayo. Mliswa alleged on X that Chiwenga sought six Rolls Royces, wedding funds, and apartment purchases totaling more than $1 million from Chivayo around the time of his December 2025 marriage to Miniyothabo Baloyi. The relationship soured when Chivayo failed to deliver a final $150,000 payment, according to Mliswa.
War veteran Blessed Geza previously claimed Mliswa received money from President Emmerson Mnangagwa's allies to undermine Chiwenga. The allegations emerge as Zanu PF faces internal succession battles, with Chiwenga targeting corrupt cartels linked to Mnangagwa. Chivayo has secured numerous government contracts through his connection to the president. Neither Chiwenga nor Chivayo responded to the claims.
