Chiwenga Speeches on Corruption Fuel Panic and Speculation in Zanu PF

Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has started a campaign against corrupt businessmen who use political ties to gain wealth. His speeches have created fear among ruling party members who worry about his true intentions. Chiwenga spoke at a business meeting and book launch where he warned that people with unexplained money would face consequences. He called these individuals blood-sucking ticks who take advantage of government contracts through their connections. The anti-corruption drive has become part of debates about who will replace President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

War veterans led by Blessed Geza demanded Mnangagwa step down earlier this year because he failed to stop corruption. They named several businessmen as examples of people who abuse the system for personal gain. Businessman Kudakwashe Tagwirei responded to corruption claims against him after some viewed him as a potential presidential candidate. He said the term tenderpreneur was created by white people to stop black advancement in business. Party sources report widespread concern about who Chiwenga might target next.

Political experts have mixed views about the vice president's motives. Some praise his strong stance against corruption and compare him to leaders who cleaned up their countries. Others believe he uses these speeches to gain popularity without taking real action. Several analysts think Chiwenga wants to position himself as a future leader who can solve the country's problems. Critics argue that his words mean nothing without actual steps to punish corrupt officials.
