Tanzania's deputy lands minister told city planners they need to get their act together and make urban areas competitive for business while keeping them climate-proof and livable. Kaspar Mmuya issued the directive at a conference in Mwanza, saying proper planning would boost economic growth, especially in Dar es Salaam. He wants professionals to lock down land markets, secure infrastructure early, and connect residential areas with industrial zones through better roads.
