Closing Ceremony of EDGE Digital Skills Training at Islamic University Kushtia

Islamic University completed its Digital Skills for Student Training Programme ceremony today. The Bangladesh Computer Council runs this program as part of the EDGE project. The Computer Science and Engineering Department hosted the event at the Ibn Sina Science Building. University officials gathered to celebrate student achievements. Certificates went to nearly 1,000 successful participants.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah served as the main guest speaker. Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Yeaqub Ali attended the ceremony. Treasurer Prof Dr Jahangir Alam also joined the celebration. Prof Dr Munjurul Haque from Engineering and Technology Faculty came to support students. Department Chairman Prof Dr Robiul Hoque led the program activities.

The ceremony started with religious readings and flower presentations. Students from Kushtia district schools joined the training program. About 1,200 people signed up for the digital skills course. Nearly 978 students finished all requirements and earned their certificates. The program aimed to boost technology knowledge among local students.

Prof Dr Robiul Hoque praised students for their hard work and success. He believes the new skills will help their future studies and careers. Vice-Chancellor Nasrullah stressed how important skill building remains for young people. He explained that information becomes knowledge when people process it correctly. Students need practical skills to use their knowledge effectively and become more capable.
