Coach claims Tilak is next Kohli as Dube chills Pak

Satish Sawant commended his student Shivam Dube after India captured the Asia Cup championship by defeating Pakistan on Sunday. The coach stated Dube adopted a smarter batting approach during the final match at Dubai International Stadium. India recovered from 20 for 3 when Tilak Varma scored an unbeaten 69 runs, and Dube contributed 33 runs to secure victory. Sawant credited Kuldeep Yadav's three-wicket performance for shifting momentum away from Pakistan's early dominance.

The mentor highlighted Varma's composure under pressure during partnerships with Sanju Samson, and later with Dube. Sawant observed Dube focused on building innings through singles and doubles rather than forcing aggressive shots. The coach predicted Varma would become the next Virat Kohli for Indian cricket. Sawant declared the middle batting order remains secure for at least a decade based on current talent depth.
