Colonel says NCC eyes bigger growth under Modi leadership

An officer credits current leadership for whipping the NCC into better shape. Colonel Ritesh Mohan, commanding the 23 Bihar Battalion, stated that the National Cadet Corps has gained considerable strength under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He spoke in Bhagalpur about implementing this vision locally. Most cadets across Bihar and Jharkhand belong to Generation Z, he noted.

Building self-belief and patriotism in these young people is the core goal. Colonel Mohan said NCC units operate according to the Prime Minister's focus on unity and discipline. Cadets learn their potential role in national development. He called the NCC a symbol of pride that shapes responsible citizens.

A single battalion contains roughly three thousand cadets, with girls making up forty percent. Efforts are expanding to include more schools in the program. Mohan argued that proper guidance prevents youth from veering off course. Channeling their energy positively yields strong results, he mentioned.

NCC training builds confidence useful in all life areas, he added. Cadets receive basic physical training and learn about future opportunities. Children from rural and privileged backgrounds interact equally in camps. This interaction boosts their self-assurance significantly.

The government allocated a budget for the NCC that is sufficient, according to the officer. Future plans might explore concepts related to startup ventures. Colonel Mohan reiterated the mission to foster unity and discipline among young people by spreading these ideas widely.
