Comic Elder gets Ford Raptor, cash, and a house from President Mnangagwa

Comedian Leroy Zaware received a Ford Raptor truck, 10,000 dollars, and a house from President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House on Sunday after winning the Best Comedy Award at the Youth Symposium. The performer arrived in his trademark oversized clothing and handed the vehicle keys to his father immediately after accepting them from government officials.

First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa greeted Zaware before the vehicle presentation, while Presidential Investment Advisor Paul Tungwarara announced the residential property gift as an additional prize. The entertainer said he plans to use his cash bonus to purchase an iron and pledged to campaign against substance abuse among young people.

Zaware had visited Youth Empowerment Minister Tino Machakaire after the awards ceremony to confirm arrangements for the collection of the promised vehicle. The comedian requested military security for his new truck before his father drove it from the presidential residence.
