One police officer killed another officer Thursday at Naguru barracks. Arthur Muhangi walked into Evarest Natujuna's room and shot him three times. Bullets hit Natujuna's head and chest and he died right away. Officers think Muhangi acted out of jealousy or anger about personal matters. The shooting happened during the afternoon when Natujuna was taking a break.
Muhangi left his gun at the crime scene after the attack. He ran away from the barracks and police have not caught him. Officers are searching for Muhangi across Kampala and nearby areas. The two men worked together at the same police station. Investigators believe the shooting was not random but happened because of personal problems between the officers.
