Police caught two trucks carrying drugs hidden under sand near Koforidua on Tuesday morning. Officers stopped the Hyundai Mighty vehicles around 8 a.m. at Nkruakan. The trucks looked normal but searches found bags of suspected marijuana underneath the sand loads. Police arrested both drivers Samuel Tettey and Wesson Tetteh along with a helper. The drugs were meant for a businessman who escaped before police arrived.
All three suspects remain locked up and help with the investigation. Officers moved both trucks to police headquarters for more checking.
