Police found the motorcycle and gear used in the shooting of Sharif Osman Hadi. The CTTC unit located the bike and a helmet in an Agargaon residential area's parking lot early Sunday morning. A fake license plate was also pulled from a nearby sewer drain.
Investigators tracked the vehicle through CCTV, noting the attackers swapped its plate after the incident. The motorcycle had a convoluted history, changing hands eight times before a man named Mainuddin Islam bought it. He allegedly used the ID card of an associate linked to the primary suspect, Faisal.
Hadi was critically wounded last Friday in Paltan. He was later transferred to Singapore for emergency medical care. The recovered evidence was formally handed over to the Detective Branch for the ongoing investigation.
