Counter-Strike Major set to finally land in Argentina

Argentina finally snagged a Counter-Strike Major after years of watching neighbors get all the glory. FiReSPORTS boss Rodrigo Figueroa Reyes verified that Buenos Aires will host the primary 2027 championship. This decision brings the premier competition back to South America for the first time since the Rio edition. The local organizers typically run the regional FiReLEAGUE circuit but stepped up to handle this massive global operation.

Reyes claimed the city blends distinct cultural vibes that visiting fans will appreciate. He insisted the local crowd's passion remains unmatched and will shock the world. The company started in 2020 and expanded across Latin markets before landing this huge contract.

Sources claim the second 2027 tournament returns to Shanghai under Perfect World. That publisher managed the 2024 iteration, though they have not officially confirmed the repeat performance. These future events follow the 2026 slate, featuring stops in Cologne and Singapore.
