Police in Kelantan have arrested a couple for a series of car break-ins involving smashed windows, which caused over RM100,000 in losses during a year-long spree. A police spokesperson, Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat, reported that the 36 and 47-year-old suspects were apprehended following an incident at the Eco Supermarket parking lot. Their method targeted areas without CCTV surveillance. The male suspect, who has prior drug offenses, confessed to training accomplices. Both individuals tested positive for methamphetamine. Authorities seized various items from them, including a Perodua Bezza car, electronic devices, and tools.
In an unrelated case, a 43-year-old policeman was arrested for allegedly using a fake pistol to rob a shop in Kota Bharu. The suspect, who also tested positive for drugs, is believed to be connected to several other robberies.
