Cops just grabbed the founder of that collapsed investment firm. Hugh Croskery, who started Stocks and Securities Limited, was seen leaving a St Andrew's home with police early Saturday morning. This was part of a coordinated operation by the Financial Investigations Division, which searched four locations in St Andrew and St James. Two former senior executives from SSL were reportedly arrested, with a third person wanted.
The firm folded after allegations of a multibillion-dollar fraud, even hitting famous clients like athlete Usain Bolt. Croskery has always denied any wrongdoing. Authorities did not say what they were looking for during the searches, but called the investigation complex and wide-ranging, with probes ongoing across multiple parishes since 2023.
