Deep Rock Galactic Survivor 1.0 Set for September 17 Launch

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor exits early access September 17, 2025. The top-down auto-shooter game from Funday Games hit Steam last February, attracting over one million players already. Ghost Ship Games made the announcement during the Triple-I Initiative Showcase for the PC version, with possible console releases coming later.

This single-player spin-off differs from the original co-op game. Players battle alien hordes instead of mining with friends. They search for valuable items during intense combat. Funday Games promises the update will be their largest ever, though exact details remain scarce. Fans hope it includes the delayed endless mode that had been postponed.

The release date trailer reveals a new Gear mechanic coming with version 1.0. The developers have kept quiet about how players obtain gear or what functions it serves. They plan to share these details closer to the launch date. Ghost Ship Games also announced a closed alpha test for Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core happening soon before its early access release. Players can sign up through the Steam page for a chance to participate.
