Delhi government declares Anupam Kher's 'Tanvi the Great' tax-free after screening

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced tax exemption status for Anupam Kher's film "Tanvi the Great" across the National Capital region. She shared this decision through her social media platform, describing the movie as both emotional and inspirational. The story follows a determined young girl with special needs who pursues her aspirations despite facing significant challenges. Gupta emphasized the government's dedication to supporting films that promote national service and foster patriotic sentiments among citizens. Madhya Pradesh had previously granted similar tax-free status to this production.

The Chief Minister attended a special Delhi screening before making her public statement to media representatives. She recommended the film as essential viewing for children everywhere, praising Kher's directorial work on this meaningful project. Shubhangi Dutt makes her acting debut alongside established performers Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, and Boman Irani. Anupam Kher Studios partnered with NFDC for production while Excel Entertainment and AA Films handled distribution. The movie opened in theaters on July 18.
