Delhi Police arrest notorious interstate criminal Nizam alias Sikander after year-long manhunt

Delhi Police Crime Branch officers captured fugitive criminal Nizam, known by aliases Nazir and Sikander, age 38, at Jahangirpuri location. The suspect had evaded law enforcement for more than twelve months while facing charges in five separate criminal proceedings. These cases involve burglary offenses and violations of Arms Act regulations across multiple Delhi police jurisdictions. Authorities designated him as a Proclaimed Offender at Kalkaji, Rajouri Garden, Mangolpuri, and Maurya Enclave stations. His criminal record spans over 110 cases throughout Delhi and Mumbai regions since beginning illegal activities in 2008.

Inspector Ajit Kumar directed a specialized investigation team under ACP Girish Kaushik's supervision to locate the wanted individual. Surveillance operations across Delhi-NCR led to his July 21 apprehension following extensive intelligence work. The arrested person admitted to frequent relocations between Mumbai's Malad and Thane districts to avoid capture. He conducted eleven residential burglaries in Mumbai while operating under the Sikander identity. Police confirmed his Active Bad Character status at Jahangirpuri station as legal proceedings advance.
