Denis Odoi Parts Ways with Royal Antwerp After 2024-25 Season

Ghana defender Denis Odoi left Belgian club Royal Antwerp after both sides agreed to end his contract early. The 37-year-old player had one more season remaining on his deal with the team. Royal Antwerp announced his departure through social media on Monday. Club officials thanked Odoi for his work during the past season. The team wished him success as he moves forward with his career.

Odoi cited personal reasons for his decision to leave the Belgian Pro League side. He expressed gratitude to Royal Antwerp for allowing him to terminate his agreement. The defender praised his teammates and coaching staff for their support during his time at the club. He also thanked fans for backing him from his first day with the team. Odoi called the supporters fantastic and appreciated their encouragement.

The veteran player becomes a free agent after completing his exit from Royal Antwerp. He can sign with any club without transfer fees since his contract ended through mutual consent. Odoi previously played for English club Fulham and Belgian side Club Brugge during his career. The defender brought experience to Royal Antwerp during the 2024-25 campaign. He helped the team compete in Belgian first division matches throughout the season.
