Deputy Speaker Rages Over Lack Of Heart Care

Uganda's Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa wants the government to build special hospitals for sick people. He spoke at a funeral service for media star Cedric Babu Ndilima at Rubaga Cathedral on Friday. Tayebwa said better medical buildings would save many lives across the country. The deputy speaker represented President Museveni at the church event. Special treatment centers could help patients with rare diseases.

Many Ugandans have complained about poor healthcare services recently. Court Judge Irene Mulyagonja lost her husband at Mulago Hospital and called it a bad place. Cedric Babu died at a hospital in Kenya after heart problems. His family tried to raise money for a heart transplant but he passed away before they collected enough funds. The government plans to finish a 70 million dollar heart hospital at Naguru.
